Dragon has extensive experience and commercial knowledge of the pharmaceutical and veterinary fields from 7 years of working in the in-house IP department of a major multinational company in these fields, and 2 years of working with SME’s in these fields.

This included providing a wide range of services, such as hands-on patent portfolio construction, development and management, and in-house IP awareness training; and working with the companies on the commercial exploitation of products and associated intellectual property by way of in-licensing, commercial exploitation through a development partner and/or out-licensing.

From 8 years working in the in-house IP department of a major multinational company in these fields, and 2 years of working with SME’s in these fields, Dragon has extensive experience in a wide diversity of medical devices and passive and active healthcare, including negative pressure wound therapy, active dressings, and orthopaedic and arthroscopic devices, and the associated multidisciplinary technologies which cover chemistry, pharmacology, biochemistry and engineering, and the associated intellectual property assets.

This included hands-on patent portfolio construction, development and management and commercial in-house IP awareness training.

In addition, our attorney was an integral part of the company’s teams for planning and actively leading implementation of a wide range of aspects of the company’s business development plans. This area in particular included an active role in advising on preferred options for the exploitation of products which secured freedom to operate, the acquisition of appropriate technology and/or IP through in-licensing or purchase, and the negotiation, preparation and settling of relevant agreements, together with planning defences to commercial exploitation of products and associated intellectual property by way of in-licensing, commercial and legal challenges.[top]
